Located in the northeast part of Marshall County, in the beautiful Glacial Lakes Area, about 5 miles south of the North Dakota border and 10 miles west of Veblen, along township gravel roads.   Cropland - 98.4 Acres;        Non-crop - 56 Acres; Road,Waste - 5.3 Acres

CROPLAND:   82.9 acres are enrolled in CRP, original start date was October 1, 1997.  In 2007 this tract of land was given a 5 year REX Extension extending the final year to 2012.  Payment on these 82.9 acres is $45.00 per acre for a total annual payment of $3,731.  The 69.6 acre field plus a 13.3 acre field in the southwest corner are enrolled in CRP.  The grass is mainly brome grass, with smaller amounts of other tame grasses as well as some native grass.  Both of these fields are quite hilly and rolling, being well suited to the CRP program.

The two other cropland fields are the 10.5 acre piece in the northwest corner and a 5.3 acre parcel in the northeast corner.

NON-CROPLAND: This land is located in the west and somewhat north part of the area.  37 acres of the unit are mapped as "Water", standing water.  Class 8, Marsh soil, which is located in the southeast part of the quarter, is a wetland soil with hydrophytic vegetation, or marsh type of plants present.  This area can also have standing water, depending on precipitation for the year.   This area of Marshall County is also located in a major flyway for the Canadian Geese, both during the spring migration as well as the fall migration.

WIND FARM LEASE AND EASEMENT:  This quarter of land has a Wind Farm Lease and Easement, which was recorded on January 30, 2008 and is in place for 50 years.  Copies of lease are available upon request.
